As I noted yesterday the builders are finishing up the final touches on the next release. We spent time on final bug fixing and merging code from one branch to another (I’ll discuss this another time) and tomorrow we begin regression testing.

Regression testing, for me, is always one of the most exciting times in the project. This is when our QA team (our test team) runs through the product and ensures that the existing functionality has not been broken. The team has an arsenal of tests that they run in different browsers and on different operating systems. One of the benefits of a hosted application like Sonicbids is that we know the most common browsers and operating systems that our users have. This means we can focus our testing on these environments, reducing the risk that problems will make it out onto the Sonicbids website.

Time to catch up on e-mail and prepare for tomorrow.

John,

All your new wizbang coding efforts are about as interresting to the musician community as a root canal.

Get over yourselves already, all the members want is a site that works as advertised and is policed in such a way as to keep the riff raff promoters off. You fail on both counts here repeatedly and amazingly badly every time.
I’m still waiting for something to be done about an opp I submitted to going on a full year ago. The promoter has been contacted repeatedly and support has as well, yet, nothing changes.

Oh wait, one thing changed, you and your fellows locked the outside world out of seeing what a disaster area SonicBids actually is by closing the forums to public view!

I’m so glad my subscription ends in a few months!!!

Hi Robert,

I’m disappointed to hear how long this has been up in the air. I know that our support team has been working hard on these types of issues, and are making some very positive changes. For your specific issue, I’ve asked our support folks to get the details on this case. I’ll ask Lou (our head of Artist Relations) to follow up with you directly by the middle of next week. For anyone that may have questions regarding similar issues please also follow up through our Support Center at http://www.sonicbids.com/support/.

The builders at Sonicbids are working on features that will empower our entire community to better manage their submissions in a hands on manner. I look forward to sharing details with everyone in the coming weeks. Keep checking back to learn about them and track our progress.

John

Hi Robert,

I checked your account and see the overdue submission you’re referring to. I’ll make sure it gets resolved by the end of the week.

If anyone else reading this has questions about a submission they can reach out member support team at http://www.sonicbids.com/support.

Rock on,
Lou
