I want to occasionally take time to point out Sonicbids members who have made use of our application in interesting new ways.

Pop Montreal is using Sonicbids as their online submission platform this year. In addition to using our promoter tools to review and select bands to perform, they’re also using submission information to power an online voting application, which you can check out at http://popmontreal.com/en/popthumbs/ . By making use of our open submission platform, they’re able to give their selected artists more visibility and provide their community with a richer experience.

If you know of someone who has integrated their EPK, gig listing or any other aspect of our site uniquely, I’d love to share it.

Hi,

We just made a few minor updates across our promoter, agency, and artist accounts. In total there were 10 updates, here are a couple:

- Improvements to folder search in the promoter account.
- Exposing site credit capabilities to our agency accounts.
- Enabling our promoters to use HTML in their custom questions.

Next week I will be able to give you some insights on improvements we’re making on the transparency front.

Hi,

I wanted to let you know that we released the new Sonicbids’ support system this morning along with several minor updates. Lou will be following up with more details.

The update to production went well. Our developers and qa folks were all in the office and spent a lot of time verifying these changes. As always, if you encounter problems please let our support folks know immediately.

Hey all,

I recently had the opportunity to answer a few questions about Sonicbids over at the Music Careers section of About.com. Some of the topics covered include how to be featured on the Sonicbids homepage, where submission and subscription fees go, and the screening process for new promoters.

You can check out the full Q&A here.

Hi,

A quick update that the builders remain on track to update the site tomorrow with our new support system. We have fixed a couple of minor issues over the weekend and are shifting back to a final test pass today. If anything changes I will let you know.
