Our Founder and CEO Panos Panay recently attended Bumbershoot in Seattle.  You can read about his expierences there on his blog here.  During his time in Seattle he had dinner with several Sonicbids members and got some great feedback from them about the Submission Tracker.  I’m currently in the process of tweaking some of the Submission Tracker features based on their feedback.  I’ll post again when we’re ready to announce more details.

Hello,

I’m really excited to see you’re improving the process. One feature I would LOVE to see you add would be a way for members to learn who was selected gig by gig. By knowing who was selected for a gig, members could better understand a) why they were not selected and/or b) what a promoter likes.

Additionally, being able to pay a little extra for a critique would be cool. In other words, the submission might cost $5 sans critique, but $15 dollars with one (critiques could be limited to 300 words or fewer).

Hope to see these ideas and more implemented!

Hey Jeff,

We’re actually in the process of revamping the look and feel of our gig listings so we can provide artists with more information when they’re thinking of making a submission. I’ll pass your comments onto the product manager working on the gig listing project.

As for the critique idea that’s actually something we’ve experimented with before. Atlantis Music Conference (http://www.sonicbids.com/atlantis2007) for the past few years has offered to critique submissions for an extra fee. Depending on how many other promoters are interested we may expand that feature a bit so that it’s easier for other promoters to give feedback on submissions.

Rock on,
Lou
