We got a ton of great feedback over the past week after launching Last.fm, Twitter and Google plugins and the new Find Gigs section.

And we’ve been doing more than just reading your feedback. We’ve been working on making tweaks to both the Plugins and the Find Gigs section based on what you’ve said. Here’s what we released today:

Plugins
•    Not seeing good results for your Twitter or Google Blog Buzz? You can now refine the search terms we’re using to track your buzz by clicking the “Refine Search” link on your Dashboard and adding additional search criteria.

refinesearch

Find Gigs
•    View more of what you like. We updated the bottom of the Find Gigs Home to let you view all gigs by upcoming deadlines, recently added, and most popular.
•    More ways to discover gigs. We also added a feed of Most/Least Picky gigs based on their Pick-o-meter and “Hidden Gems” which are gigs that haven’t seen much action yet.

findgigs
•    Recently Viewed Gigs now display in the sidebar of the Find Gigs Section.
•    Customize View – This was not a new feature, but a lot of people were asking for different sorting and columns on their search results. You can do this with Customize View.  For example, those that always want to see the recently added gigs first can click the “Customize View” link, set the “Default Sort Order:” to “Date Added” and check the bubble for “Descending.”

As always post a comment here or drop me a note on Twitter at http://twitter.com/SonicbidsLou to let us know what you think.

the last.fm account that is linked to our account is the WRONG one. why isn’t there an option for us to simply input our last.fm url? that would easily solve this problem…

The last.fm plug in is horrible and it should be optional…there are other artist with my name and i don’t want to be tied in or have promoters think its me making that music

Gig listings with the “closed” and expired listings first???

Pointless.

Can you create an imeem.com plugin to track plays on that site?

Hello,

I appreciate Sonicbid coming up with new ideas to help artists. Thanks!

I’d like to be able to choose which plugins I want visible. Is that possible?

Also, can a plugin for You Tube videos be added?

Thanks,
Linda

I agree with the above comments about the Last.fm plug-in: artists should be able to add their profile URL directly.

The plug-in for MySpace is OK, but I think showing the total plays or profile views might be more beneficial for some artists.

The Twitter plug-in is useless for me, as I don’t use Twitter. The content in the feed does not say anything favorable about me OR my music.

If possible, there should be a way of refining the keywords to target specific URL’s as well as the buzz that appears in the general keyword search of an artists name.

These modifications might be very helpful to others as well. I hope at least some of them are possible.

Best Regards,
Nicole Graham

Oh, and when I refine the search with additional keywords, the search always returns no results. Also, perhaps an iLike plug-in can be considered to help an artist on iLike grow their fan base.

Thank you.
