emailmyepk

For a long time Sonicbids artists have been using the Email My EPK tool on Sonicbids to send their EPK to folks inside of a nicely formatted HTML email.  You will now be able to see when an emailed EPK has been opened.

The details

EmailMyEPKWhen you send out a new message with the Email My EPK tool, you now have the option of getting an email alert when the message is opened.

If you go to the “Sent Items” tab, you will be able to see a list of all your past emails along with the date they were sent and the date they were opened if it’s available.

The techy explanation of how it works

We’ve added a simple tracking pixel to emailed EPKs which will record when the email is opened. Keep in mind that like all email tracking pixels, the recipient will need to have images enabled in their email for the tracking pixel to work.

Let us know what you think

As always we’d love to hear your feedback.  Feel free to post a comment here or contact me on Twitter.

It sounds good, but does it cost anything extra?

Yes I Agree, tracking “Email My EPK” is a great idea. It will be great to know if the recipient(s) really did open the email or not. Sign me up!

This truly changes the game for me. This makes my EPK an even more effective tool. I book most of my gigs not through SonicBids opportunities but by emailing my EPK (go figure ;-) . This tool allows me to track my open rates and to see what my most effective mailings are. It does this without requesting a read receipt from the recipient so they never know that the email is being tracked. Great work SonicBids.

Great. It works for the artist’s account. Can it work for the agency account, as well, please? I want to know who I should keep after on behalf of my artists.

thank you,

Anne Leighton

Sonicbids Staff Glad to see such a positive response to this update! I just wanted to take a sec to answer a couple of the questions in the comments above.
There’s no additional cost for the email tracking feature and nothing additional you need to do to set it up. Tracking is built into the Email My EPK tool for all artists with an active Sonicbids membership. If you need any help or have any questions about it head over to http://www.sonicbids.com/support and our Member Relations team will give you a hand.

Well tracking is very helpful indeed. Good to have. I like the pixel but if images are turned off shouldn’t there be an alternate? an automatic “A List” VIP link back for them to click…
